Volleyball: Huntingdon rallies to beat Panthers in USA South match

Visiting Huntingdon rallied for a 3-2 win over LaGrange in a USA South match Thursday night in Richter Gym. The Panthers are now 4-8 overall and 2-3 in conference play. All three losses have come in five sets.

Huntingdon (14-6, 5-0 USA South) won the first set 25-8. The Panthers came back to win the second set 25-21 and a hard-fought 27-25 win in the third set to go up 2-1. The Hawks tied the match with a 25-22 win in the fourth set, then held off an LC rally to take the deciding fifth set 15-13.

Jazzlyn Kenner led LC with a match-high 17 kills and had nine total blocks. Mimi Loftus had 15 kills and a .400 attack percentage. Courtney Swafford had a match-high 24 digs, while Lauren Sanders had 27 assists.

The Panthers host Agnes Scott and Berea in a USA South tri-match Saturday starting at 12 p.m.
