LaGrange spotted visiting Huntingdon the first set, then swept the next three for a 3-1 USA South win Tuesday in Richter Gym. The Panthers evened their season record at 12-12, while upping their conference record to 4-6.
Huntingdon (18-15, 5-5 USA South) took the first set 25-22. The Panthers came back to tie the match with a 25-18 second set win and then went up 2-1 in the match with a 25-14 third set win. In the fourth set, the Panthers put together a 10-0 run in route to closing out the match with a 25-16 win.
Samantha James had a match-high 12 kills to lead the Panthers, while Emily Arnold added 11. Jazzlyn Keener had eight kills and a .636 attack percentage. Maggie Ivester had nine kills and 10 digs. Lauren Sanders and Libby Compton combined for 41 assists, with Saunders leading the way with 25.
The Panthers close out the regular season with a USA South tri-match Saturday in Richter Gym against Agnes Scott and Berea. Match times are 12 and 4 p.m.
