Volleyball: Huntingdon rallies to beat Panthers in USA South match

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Huntingdon rallied to beat LaGrange 3-1 in a USA South match Tuesday. The loss dropped the Panthers to 1-3 in conference play and 7-9 overall. 

The Panthers took the first set 26-24, but the Lady Hawks (12-11, 4-1 USA South) won the next three 25-28, 25-15, and 25-18 to take the match. In the first set, the teams were tied at 24. Jazzlyn Kenner and Maggie Ivester combined on a block to put LC up one. Emily Arnold and Samantha James came up with another block to close out the set for the Panthers. 

Arnold led the Panthers with 10 kills, while Kenner and Mimi Loftus added six each. Emily Boswell had a match-high 20 digs. Laren Sanders and Libby Compton combined for 23 assists.

The Panthers play in a USA South tri-match Saturday in Decatur, Georgia. LC will face Berea at 2 p.m. and host Agnes Scott at 4 p.m.
