MONTGOMERY, Ala. - LaGrange finished a perfect 4-0 at the Huntingdon Invitational. The Panthers (6-3), winners of five straight matches, swept both Mississippi University of Women and Huntingdon by 3-0 scores Saturday.
The Panthers finished the day with a 25-21, 25-21, and 31-29 win over the tournament hosts Lady Hawks. Samantha James and Jazzlyn Kenner each had a team-high eight kills, while Emily Arnold added seven. Lauren Sanders had a double-double of 14 assists and 12 digs.
In the first match of the day, the Panthers downed the Owls 25-20, 25-12, and 25-15. Kenner had a team-high nine kills and a .667 hitting percentage. She added two block solos and a block assist. Arnold, James, and Maggie Ivester each had five kills. Sanders added 11 assists and five digs.
The Panthers play at Wesleyan on Thursday in their first USA South match. They will host Covenant and Piedmont as part of a tri-match Saturday in Richter Gym.
