Junior defensive specialist Aspen Coggins is the USA South Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 13.
Coggins averaged 4.57 digs per set as the Panthers posted a 2-2 record. She added four kills, four service aces, and four assists last week.
Coggins totaled 14 digs, one kill and one service ace against Fisk. Against Wesleyan, she contributed six digs and an assist. In a five-set win over Huntingdon, Coggins had 24 digs, two kills, two service aces, and an assist. In the final match of the week against Sewanee, Coggins totaled 20 digs, two assists, a kill and a service ace.
Coggins leads the team and is sixth in the conference with 113 digs. She is seventh in the conference with 4.19 digs per set.
