Women's Tennis: Panthers edge Covenant 5-4 to celebrate Senior Day

LaGrange celebrated Senior Day with a 5-4 win over visiting Covenant on Saturday. The Panthers (6-7, 3-4 USA South) defeated the Scots (6-12, 3-4 USA South) for the second time this season by the 5-4 score.

Jenna Eppes was honored before the match. Eppes, a two-time first team All-Conference selection, defeated Esther Eddy in three sets at #1 singles, 7-5, 2-6, 6-2. The Scots took two of the three doubles matches. Freshman Makayla Red clinched the match for the Panthers at #6 singles. Red won in three sets over Sara Blauw, 6-1, 1-6, 6-0.

The Panthers close out the regular season at Piedmont on April 19 and at Agnes Scott on April 20.
