Women's Tennis: LC picked fourth in USA South West Division preseason poll

The LaGrange women's tennis team was picked fourth in the USA South West Divison preseason poll. The Panthers went 9-11 last season, including a 3-4 conference mark.

Junior Jenna Eppes returns to lead LC in 2019. Eppes has been a first team USA South All-Conference selection the past two years. She was the conference's Rookie of the Year as a freshman. Eppes was 13-7 in 2018 at #1 singles, including a 4-3 record in USA South matches. She has a 24-15 career record. Junior Jia Lee returns to the team after going 13-6 in 2017. Sophomores Mikayla Drake and Nicolle Phillips are back, along with freshmen Callaway Cook, Ansley Moody, and Makayla Red

Defending division champion Piedmont is first in the poll, followed by Huntingdon, Covenant and the Panthers.

The Panthers open the season Saturday with a home match against Birmingham-Southern beginning at 12 p.m.
