Women's Tennis: Brashier receives athletic department's Eagle Award

The LaGrange College Athletic Department presented its Eagle Award, along with its top academic student-athlete awards in ceremonies Thursday in Callaway Auditorium.

Senior Caroline Brashier was the 2013-14 recepient of the Eagle Award, given annually to the student-athlete who has overcome adversity and excelled as a student, as a athlete and in the community. 

Caroline has been a two-sport athlete in basketball and tennis for four years.

In tennis,  Caroline has earned all-conference honors for the past three seasons. She had a 10-3 record at #1 singles this season. 

She won 34 matches during her career with the Panthers, the most by a player in the program's history.

Caroline has been a part of the Student Government Association and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.  She has participated as a Phone-A-Thon caller for the Advancement Office; worked as a STARS At-Risk Mentor in the Troup County School System; LaGrange College Community Special Olympics and did Service Saturday the last four years.

Caroline is majoring in education with a minor in coaching.
