Women's Soccer: Panthers blank Sweet Briar 7-0 to finish 1-1 on Virginia road trip

SWEET BRIAR, Va. - LaGrange finished its Virginia road trip with a 7-0 non-conference win over Sweet Briar on Sunday. The Panthers (3-3-1) bounced back from a 4-0 loss at Southern Virginia on Saturday.

Dynasty Burchett was one of three Panthers with two goals and she added two assists. Burchett is tied for second in the USA South with five assists on the season. Olivia Braun got her first two goals of the season, while Zoe Watts had a pair of goals and an assist. Watts is tied for second in the USA South in goals scored with 7.

Braun and Watts had first half goals to put LC up 2-0 at the break. Burchett scored in the first minute of the second half and added her second goal six minutes later to make it 4-0. Sydney Dailey got her first goal of the season with an assist from Burchett. Braun and Watts closed out the scoring with unassisted goals for the 7-0 final. The Panthers enjoyed a 40-2 shot advantage in the game.

The Panthers host Agnes Scott on Wednesday at 4 p.m. in a USA South game.
