LaGrange opened its USA South schedule with an 8-0 win over visiting Mary Baldwin on Saturday. The Panthers stopped a two-game losing skid in improving to 4-2 overall.
The Panthers got two goals each from Ashley Jacobson, Kelsey Lewis and Rebecca Sanders in the game. Paige Smyth and Trayton Carson-Tanner added a goal apiece. Sydney Dorsey and Alli Lynch had two assists each.
The Panthers outshot Mary Baldwin (2-3, 0-1 USA South) 24-3 in the game. Goalkeeper Carly Farrow had to make only one save in her 69 minutes of play. DeAundra Green closed out the shutout for the Panthers.
The Panthers host Meredith on Sunday in a USA South game beginning at 12 p.m.
