Emory & Henry scored in the early minutes of the match and made it stand up in a 1-0 win over LaGrange on Saturday at Panther Field. The loss was the third straight for the Panthers, now 1-3. The Wasps stayed unbeaten with a 3-0 record.
Bethany Myer scored just four minutes into the match. Myer took a cross pass from Alison Azbell and put the shot past goalkeeper Chelsea Totaro.
The Panthers had their only shot on goal of the first half in the 11th minute. Goalkeeper Hayley Poland stopped Brittany Gray's shot to keep the Panthers off the board. Gray had two of the three shots on goal for the Panthers.
Poland and Sarah Jerome combined for the shutout for the Wasps. Jerome had two second half saves. Totaro had seven saves in the match for the Panthers.
