Women's Basketball: Panthers down Agnes Scott to end three-game skid

DECATUR, Ga. - LaGrange stopped its three-game losing streak with a 60-39 win at Agnes Scott on Wednesday. The Panthers are now 11-10 on the season and 5-7 in the USA South.

Riley Chlupacek had 12 points off the bench to lead LC. Chlupacek made all of her points on 3s, making 4-of-8 in the game. Jahpera McEachin added 10 points. Agnes Scott (1-22, 1-13 USA South) got a game-high 13 points from Garis Grant.

"Real good team win tonight. I thought we set the tone late in the first half and through the second half with some excellent defense. We also had a good third quarter on both ends of the floor," said Coach Lee Buchanan. "We had contributions from everyone and that's always good to see. Really pleased for Riley and her hitting her 3-point shots. She had some good looks and made half her shots. We have a couple days now to get ready for a big weekend of games at home."

Agnes Scott led 7-2 three minutes into the game. Daijah Cousins' 3-pointer broke a 8-8 tie and the Panthers never traile again. LC led 28-15 at halftime. Chlupacek's final trey of the game gave the Panthers their largest lead of the game, 57-31, with 3:55 remaining.

The Panthers close out the home portion of their schedule with USA South games against Berea on Saturday and Maryville on Sunday.
