Swimming: Connor Cochran sets new school mark at Brenau Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Ga. - The LaGrange swim teams had a successful meet at the Brenau Invitational.

Freshman Connor Cochran reset the school record for the 1,650-yard freestyle event with a time of 17.52.13. He finished sixth in the event. The event was one of five the freshman swam in during the two-day meet. Cochran was eighth in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:11.20. He also competed in the 200 freestyle, 100 backstroke, and 200 breaststroke. Craig Kennedy was eighth in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:35.81. Tim Garnett was ninth in the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:59.64. Gabe Griffith, Aatiq Bradley, and David Edmondson also competed for the Panthers in the meet. 

Alex Bromby was LC's best finisher in the women's meet in the 500 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 200 breasstroke, and 100 butterfly. Gracen Brantley, Emily O'Neil, Sophia Smokowicz, and Lyllie Menjivar-Couch also competed for the Panthers in the meet. 

The LC teams will compete in the SCAD Invitational on Nov. 29-30, Dec. 1.
