Men's Soccer: Panthers' season ends with heart-breaking 2-1 loss to Maryville

MARYVILLE, Tenn. - LaGrange's season ended with a heart-breaking 2-1 loss to Maryville in the first round of the USA South Tournament. The Panthers finished 10-9, their first winning season since 1993. The 10 wins tied for the second most in the program's history. 

The Panthers jumped out to a 1-0 lead just two minutes into the game. Matthew Fritts headed in Connor Liney's throw in for the quick goal. Maryville got the equalizer in the 23rd minute from Randy Reichenberger. The game remained tied until the closing seconds. Reichenberger got the game-winner off the rebound of a missed shot with 37 seconds left. Goalkeeper Cory Aycock had five saves in the game. Aycock, Liney, Adam Curry, Nick Huberty, Qua Tucker, Jonathan Mann, Blake Konans, and Matthew Morton were playing their final game as seniors.
