Men's Soccer: Panthers rally to down Berea 2-1 in overtime

BEREA, Ky. - LaGrange rallied for a 2-1 two-overtime USA South victory over Berea on Thursday. It was the third straight win for the Panthers, now 8-4 overall and 3-3 in conference play. The eight wins thus far are the most since the 1993 season.

The host Mountaineers (2-11, 0-8 USA South) got the game's first goal. Bedginal Godre broke the scoreless tie with his first goal of the season in the 71st minute.

Jude McEvoy got the equalizer with under seven minutes in regulation as the team's headed to overtime. After a scoreless first overtime period, the Panthers got the game-winner just 57 seconds into the second overtime. Qua Tucker crossed the ball in and McEvoy put the shot in the net for the 2-1 final. With the two goals, McEvoy is tied for second in the conference with 11 for the season. It was the fifth overtime game this season for the Panthers. They are now 3-2 in those games.

The Panthers host Pfeiffer on Saturday and Maryville on Sunday in USA South games, both starting at 1 p.m. Saturday's game will be Senior Day.
