ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Kevin Folsom's two goals lifted LaGrange to a 4-2 win at Warren Wilson on Saturday. The Panthers (1-2) picked up their first win of the season, while the host Owls slipped to 1-4.
LaGrange built a 2-0 lead in the game. Paul Smart scored his second goal in as many games with less than two minutes remaining in the first half for the Panthers' first goal. Chandler Winner got his first career goal 13 minutes into the second half to pad the Panthers' lead.
Warren Wilson tied the game with two goals from Lincoln Bressor in a 23 second span. Bressor's second goal came on a penalty kick in the 60th minute.
Folsom got the go-ahead goal for the Panthers in the 80th minutes for his first goal of the season. He added an insurance goal four minutes later for the 4-2 final margin.
The Panthers had an 11-4 shots on goal advantage in the game. Folsom had six of the team's shots on goal.
The Panthers play at Oakwood (Ala.) on Tuesday before opening USA South conference play Saturday at Maryville.
