ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - LaGrange picked up a big USA South road win Wednesday, downing N.C. Wesleyan 100-95 in Everett Gym. The Panthers improved to 3-1 in conference play and 7-4 overall. The Bishops (10-2, 3-1) had their eight-game winning streak stopped.

Sophomore Julian Cameron set a career high for the second time this season. Cameron led LC with 26 points, eclipsing his previous career high of 25 set against Emory on Dec. 5. He was 5-of-11 from 3-point range, with 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Travis Thompson followed with 19 points. Jalen McCallum had his fifth double-double of the season, finishing with 16 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. He had 4 blocks to push his conference-leading total to 43 for the season. Lincoln Anderson had 11 points off the bench.

Cameron came up with clutch plays in the final minute. With the Panthers holding a one-point lead, he drained a 3-pointer for a 97-93 lead with 35 seconds remaining. Cameron pulled down the rebound off Chris Braswell's 3-point  attempt to give the Bishops the lead, then made two free throws at the other end for a 99-95 lead with nine seconds left. Gary Bishop made the second of two free throws for the 100-95 final.

LC never trailed in the game. The Panthers committed only one turnover in the first half and led 56-45 at halftime, shooting 56.4 percent. They led by as many as 16 in the half.
