DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Marian (Wisc.) stopped LaGrange 76-70 on Thursday night at the Daytona Beach Shootout. The Panthers are now 6-4 and take time off for the holidays. They return Jan. 2 with a USA South game at N.C. Wesleyan.

Jamison McCray and Travis Thompson shared game honors with 14 points each to lead LC. Jalen McCallum had his second straight double-double with 11 points and rebounds each. Jack McCormack had 10 points off the bench.

The Panthers led 51-46 with 7:18 remaining after Thompson hit a 3-pointer. Marian went on a 12-2 run over the next three minutes to go up 58-53. Thompson's layup got LC within one, 59-58, with 1:56 left. But Marian ran off nine straight points to build a 10-point lead and the Panthers never got closer than four the rest of the way.
