GREENSBORO, N.C. - Senior Michael McCauley's career day led LaGrange to a 96-95 USA South win over Greensboro. The Panthers' third straight win improved their season record to 8-6 and 4-3 in conference play.

Greensboro (4-10, 1-6 USA South) got a game-high 29 points from Joseph Gatling. Darus Maddox followed with 22 and Carmoni Marks had 16.

LC broke a 29-29 tie in the first half with a 9-0 run. Adedoyin started it with a 3-pointer and Lincoln Anderson's put back off a missed shot finished the spurt with six minutes left in the half. The Pride came back to take a 48-45 lead by halftime.

In the second half, the Panthers surged to a 14-point lead on two occassions, the first off a jumper from McCauley and the last time on a layup by Adedoyin. Greensboro chipped away at the lead. The Pride cut it to one, 94-93, with 22 seconds left. Adedoyin made a pair of free throws for a 96-93 lead with 18 seconds showing. The Panthers held on as Maddox misfired on a potential tying trey with four seconds, and Corey Burnette's layup at the buzzer provided the 96-95 final.

The Panthers finish their weekend road trip against East Division leading Methodist. LC beat the Monarchs in the championship game of the USA South Tournament in their last meeting.
