MIRAMAR, Fla. - Sophomore Sam Rogers fired a 5-under par 66 to lead the LaGrange golf team Tuesday in the second round of the Golfweek Fall Invitational. The Panthers are tied for seventh in the team standings.
Rogers' round was the lowest of his collegiate career and a stroke better than teammate Ben Womack's first round 67 for the team's low round of the fall. He moved up 31 spots in the individual standings into a tie for fifth. Rogers had eight birdies against three bogeys on the day. Womack slipped to a tie for 13th after a round of 75. Nathan Garner followed Rogers with a 74 and Mathias Andersen had an 80.
The three-day tournament concludes Tuesday.
