LaGrange landed a school-record three players on the recently announced Division III PING All-America teams. It is the first time a Panther team has had three All-Americans in a single year. The Panthers were the only team in Division III to place three players on the teams.
Senior Cory Howard was named to the first team for the second year in a row and on the team for the third straight year. Howard joins former golfer Hudson Keener as the only three-time All-American at LaGrange.
In addition to being a three-time All-American, Howard was a three-time PING Southeast All-Region honoree, a four-time All-Conference performer, a three-time USA South All-Tournament team member and a two-time USA South Tournament Medalist.
Additionally, Howard was the 2012 Great South Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year and the 2015 USA South Player of the Year. He currently holds the LaGrange record for career tournament wins with six.
Theam is on the third team for the second year in a row. He is also on the PING Southeast All-Region team and USA South All-Conference first team for the second straight year.
Lanier is on the All-America teams for the first time. He was named to the PING Southeast All-Region team and the USA South All-Conference second team. In addition, Lanier earned USA South Academic All-Conference honors for second straight year.
