LaGrange walked off with a marathon 1-0 win in 15 innings over Emory on Wednesday at Cleaveland Field in Williamson Stadium. The Panthers' won their third straight game to improve to 13-5. Emory dropped to 6-6 with its fourth straight loss. The Panthers avenged a walk-off 2-1 loss at Emory on Feb. 13.

Judd Moore's one-out single in the bottom of the 15th ended a game that lasted just over four hours. The two teams combined to leave 27 men on base. Emory twice had the bases loaded without scoring, while the Panthers also squandered a bases loaded opportunity. LC stranded a runner at third three times.

Rhett Hollon led off the Panthers' 15th with a double to right center off Jack Brodsky (4-1), Emory's third pitcher of the night. Hollon moved over to third on Dawson Weaver's sacrifice bunt. McKinley Erves and Joe Ruth were intentionally walked to load the bases. Moore followed with a line drive single to left to drive in Hollon with the winning run.

Gibson Bittner (2-3), the fourth pitcher for LC, worked three innings to get the victory. Bittner worked out of a bases loaded jam in the top of the 13th and stranded two more runners in the 15th. Michael Menheart pitched into the sixth, scattering eight hits. Tanner Chaffin relieved Menheart after the Eagles loaded the bases with no outs. Chaffin got a double play, then a ground out to keep the game scoreless. Spencer Douches followed with four innings of work, scattering three hits.

The Panthers finished with 10 hits. Joe Ruth had three, including a double. Hollon also had a single to go with his double.

The 15-innings matched the longest game for LC in the NCAA era. The Panthers lost 6-5 to Maryville in 15 innings on April 10, 2016. The Panthers last had a 1-0 final score twice during the 2014 season.
