2018-19 in Review: Men's Tennis knocks off USA South West Division leader Piedmont

CLEMSON, S.C. - The LaGrange men's tennis team knocked off USA South West Division leader Piedmont 6-3 on April 19 at the Clemson University Indoor Tennis Facility. The Panthers (11-3, 10-2 USA South) handed the Lions (14-6, 11-1 USA South) their first conference loss while pushing their own winning streak to six straight matches.

The Panthers led 2-1 after the doubles matches. John Mitchell Benton and Kyle Kelley won the deciding match at #1 doubles with an 8-4 win over Kanler Cumbass and Jarrett Gray. Kelley broke a 3-3 tie in the match with a win at #4 singles. Trevor McLemore followed with the clinching match at #5 singles with a 6-4, 6-0 victory over Chase Morris. Will Thompson closed out the match with a three-set win over Cumbass at #1 singles.
