2018-19 in Review: Women's lacrosse edged by N.C. Wesleyan on Senior Day

Visiting N.C. Wesleyan spoiled LaGrange's Senior Day with a 15-12 win in a USA South game April 6. The Panthers slipped to 0-6 overall and 0-6 in conference play. The Bishops improved to 4-10 overall and 4-4 in conference play.

Seniors Lyllie Menivar-Couch, Lauren Sanders, Davida White were honored before the game. White had a career day for LC, scoring seven goals and assisting on one goal. Sanders had her first two goals of the season. 

The Panthers trailed 9-5 at halftime. White and Sanders scored 25 seconds apart to open the second half to make it 9-7. White's sixth goal tied the game at 11 with 19 minutes remaing. The Bishops answered with three straight goals to take the lead for good. White finished her career day with eight minutes left to cut the deficit to 14-12. The Bishops got an insurance goal  with under three minutes left for the 15-12 final. Abby Hunt, Brie Shepler, and Sarah Gilbrook each had a goal for LC.
