2018-19 in Review: Women's basketball runs past Judson to open 2018-19 season

PENSACOLA, Fla. - LaGrange's women's basketball team opened its 2018-19 season with an 80-49 romp over Judson on Nov. 9 at Pensacola Christian College. 

Senior Marilauren Farr led LC with a game-high 21 points and 12 rebounds. Junior Sadie Desroches and sophomore Charley Amissah-Reyes each had 10 points. Amissah-Reyes also had seven rebounds and two blocks.

 

The Panthers never trailed in the game. They scored the game's first 12 points and led 22-7 at the end of the first quarter. Judson closed within nine points in the second quarter, but the Panthers pushed their lead to 12 at halftime, 40-28. Farr had 16 points and 10 rebounds in the half. LC blew the game open in the third quarter. The Panthers outscored the Eagles 27-8 in the period to open up a 67-35 lead.

LC shot 51.5 percent in the game. The Panthers out rebounded the Eagles 44-27 and forced 23 turnovers.
