Sarah Bearden had another strong showing as the LaGrange cross country teams competed in the Berry Invitational on Saturday.
Bearden finished 14th overall in a field of 179 runners. She had a time of 23:04.23 over the 6k course. Bearden had the fourth fastest time among Division III runners, just seven seconds out of fourth place. She was the fastest among the USA South runners in the meet.
Ashley Wright followed Bearden for the Panthers with a time of 27:19.03. Davida White (28:13.42), Jessica Morton (29:41.88), Laura Hayhurst (32:06.09), Lydia Subat (32:55.09), and Nicole Spafford (34:25) rounded out the rest of the results for the Panthers. Spafford improved by five minutes over her previous time.
Both teams now get ready for the USA South Championships on Oct. 31 in Greensboro, N.C.
