Volleyball: Panthers sweep Judson 3-0 in non-conference match

MARION, Ala. - LaGrange swept non-conference foe Judson (Ala.) 3-0 in Riddle Gymnasium on Thursday. The Panthers (2-3) stopped a three-match losing streak with the straight set win over the Eagles (0-2).

LC won by scores of 25-13, 25-16, and 25-15. Junior setter Lauren Sanders got the Panthers going by serving for eight straight points to begin the match. Sanders finished the match with 15 assists and two service aces.

Senior right side hitter Emily Arnold led the team with 10 kills. Fellow senior Maggie Ivester had seven kills and two block assists. Sophomore middle blocker Jazzlyn Kenner finished with five solo blocks and four block assists to go with six kills.

Freshman defensive specialist Amanda Beatty had 24 digs and four service aces. Junior outside hitter Mimi Loftus also had four service aces.

The Panthers play Gadsden State and Lawson on Saturday in Gadsden, Alabama.
