Volleyball: Huntingdon spoils Senior Night for Panthers

Visiting Huntingdon spoiled Senior Night for LaGrange with a 3-0 win Tuesday night in Richter Gym. The loss left the Panthers 19-12 overall and 7-7 in USA South play.

The Hawks (12-20, 5-9 USA South) took the match by scores of 25-21, 25-20, and 25-15. The Panthers close out the regular season Saturday with a USA South match against Maryville and a non-conference match with Berea.

Seniors Sterling Ancrum, Nachelle Roberts, and Kristi Sammons were honored before the match. All three have been with the program four years. Roberts had three kills and two block assists in the match, while Sammons tied for the team lead with five digs. 

Samantha James led the Panthers with six kills, while Maggie Ivester added five. Ivester tied with Sammons with five digs. James had three service aces.

After Saturday, the Panthers will play in the USA South Tournament on Tuesday. The location and opponent has not been determined.
