Volleyball: Panthers fall to N.C. Wesleyan and Meredith in USA South matches

LaGrange dropped a pair of USA South matches at Richter Gym on Sunday. The Panthers lost by identical 3-0 scores to N.C. Wesleyan and Meredith.

In the first match of the day, N.C. Wesleyan (5-10, 3-1 USA South) took the match by scores of 25-23, 25-14, 25-14. Sophomore Lexi Hall had a team-high nine kills and added nine digs. Sophomore Lauren Sanders had a double-double of 13 assists and 11 digs. Freshman Libby Compton had a team-high 15 assists.

Meredith (12-2, 4-0 USA South) topped the Panthers 25-15, 25-22, 25-22. Freshmen Samantha James and Jazzlyn Kenner combined for 23 kills, with Kenner leading the way with 12. Sanders had another double-double with 17 assists and 10 digs. Hall had seven kills and a team-high 12 digs.

The Panthers play William Peace and Averett in Danville, Va. on Saturday, then Methodist and Greensboro on Sunday in Greensboro, N.C.
