Volleyball: Panthers go undefeated at Huntingdon Invitational

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - LaGrange finished a perfect 3-0 at the Huntingdon Hawks Invitational held Friday and Saturday. With the three wins, the Panthers improved to 9-4 on the season.

The Panthers defeated tournament host Huntingdon 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-20) on Friday. They completed the tournament with a 3-1 win over Agnes Scott (25-16, 25-20, 19-25, 29-27) and swept Southern University-New Orleans 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-20).

In the Huntingdon match, the Panthers had three players record double-doubles. Lexi Hall had a match-high 13 kills and added 10 digs. Maggie Ivester had 10 kills and digs each, while Lauren Sanders finished with 18 assists and 11 digs.

Ivester had a match-high 14 kills against Agnes Scott. Hall had a double-double of 10 kills and tied for match honors with 16 digs. Sanders had a match-high 31 assists.

Hall paced the Panthers in their final match against Southern-New Orleans. She had her third straight double-double with 16 kills and 18 digs. Ivester followed Hall with 15 kills. Sanders had 19 assists and 10 digs for her second double-double of the tournament. Libby Compton had a team-high 20 assists.

The Panthers travel to Judson College on Tuesday for a non-conference match.
