Volleyball: Panthers go 3-1 at Tuskegee Invitational

TUSKEGEE, Ala. - LaGrange went 3-1 at the Tuskegee Invitational hosted by Tuskegee University. All four matches were against NCAA Division II and NAIA members.

The Panthers, 4-1 overall for the season, defeated Albany State 3-0 (25-7, 25-22, 25-17), St. Andrews 3-1 (25-23, 25-16, 24-26, 25-23), and Talladega 3-1 (27-25, 24-26, 25-21, 25-18). The only loss was a 3-2 decision to Division II member Limestone by scores of 25-23, 12-25, 14-25, 25-15, 9-15.

Junior Maggie Ivester had 38 kills and 48 digs in the tournament. She had a match-high 15 kills against Talladega. Junior Emily Arnold had 15 kills in the St. Andrews match, finishing the tournament with 33. Lauren Sanders had 78 assists and Sterling Ancrum 62 digs in the tournament.

The Panthers play in the Blues City Invite in Memphis, Tenn. next Friday and Saturday.
