Volleyball: Panthers take down Greensboro, Mary Baldwin in USA South matches

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - LaGrange took down Greensboro and Mary Baldwin in USA South matches Saturday at Huntingdon College.

The Panthers (15-18) beat Greensboro 3-1, then swept Mary Baldwin 3-0. The two wins gave the Panthers a four-match winning streak to end the season. The Panthers won six of their final eight matches.

Greensboro took the first set 25-21, but the Panthers roared back, winning the next three sets 25-13, 25-14, and 25-13. Lexi Hall had a match and season-high 15 kills, with a .342 hitting percentage to lead the Panthers.

The Panthers downed Mary Baldwin 25-10, 25-23, and 25-17 in the final match of the day and the season. Maggie Ivestor led the team with eight kills and added 13 digs.
