Volleyball: Panthers turn back Agnes Scott for non-conference win

DECATUR, Ga. - Lexi Hall and Maggie Ivester each posted double-doubles as LaGrange turned back Agnes Scott 3-1 in a non-conference match Tuesday.

The Panthers (10-16) defeated the Scotties (7-12) for the second time this season. The Panthers took the first set 25-19 but the Scotties evened the match with a 25-22 second set win. The Panthers closed out the match by taking the next two sets 25-17 and 25-22.

The Panthers had four players in double figures in kills in the match. Hall and Ivester each had 12, while Danyelle Carr had 11 and Emily Arnold 10. Carr had a team-best .378 attack percentage.

The Panthers tied a season high with 86 digs, led by Ivester with 23. Hall added 19 and Aspen Coggins had 17.

The Panthers host NAIA member Talladega in a non-conference match Thursday in the Richter Gym at 7 p.m. They play Averett and Ferrum in USA South matches Saturday in Danville, Va.
