Volleyball: Panthers up record to 4-1 with sweep of Wesleyan and Oglethorpe at Stormy Petrel Challenge

ATLANTA, Ga. - LaGrange swept Wesleyan and tournament host Oglethorpe on the final day of the Stormy Petrel Challenge. The two wins gave the Panthers a 3-1 record in the tournament and upped their overall record to 4-1.

The Panthers defeated Wesleyan 3-0 for the second time this week.  The Panthers took the match by scores of 25-4, 25-6, 25-7. The Panthers had 31 service aces in the match, with junior Nachelle Roberts leading the way with 12. Freshman Lexi Hall's five kills matched Wesleyan's team total.

In a close match, the Panthers swept the Stormy Petrels 3-0, winning by scores of 25-23, 26-24, 25-17. Sophomore Emily Arnold tied for match honors with nine kills. Junior Aspen Coggins had a match-high 19 digs. Freshman Lauren Sanders had a double-double of 17 assists and 10 digs.

Hall and Coggins were selected to the Stormy Petrels Challenge All-Tournament team.
