LaGrange swept past Agnes Scott 3-0 in a non-conference match Tuesday in Richter Gymnasium. The win upped the Panthers' season record to 13-15.
The Panthers avenged a 3-0 loss to the Scotties (6-14) earlier in the season. The Panthers took the match by scores of 25-16, 25-17, and 25-17.
In the first set, the Panthers never trailed. They led 13-4, eventually leading by 11, 20-9. Sydney Marshall's kill clinched the set for the Panthers.
The Panthers trailed 4-2 in the early going of the second set. But they reeled off 12 straight points to go up 14-4. The Scotties cut the lead to four, 16-12, but the Panthers regained control to take the set.
The two teams swapped points to open the third set. Tied at 10, the Panthers scored seven of the next eight points to open a 17-11 lead. Marshall's kill gave the Panthers their largest lead, 24-15. Ivester ended the match with a kill for the 25-17 final score.
The Panthers play at Wesleyan on Thursday in a non-conference match.
