Volleyball: Panthers cruise by Toccoa Falls in non-conference match

The LaGrange volleyball team tuned up for its upcoming USA South matches with a 3-0 sweep of visiting Toccoa Falls on Tuesday in Richter Gymnasium.

The Panthers took the match by scores of 25-9, 25-16, and 25-14. They had beaten the Eagles 3-0 in their first meeting on Sept. 9.

Nine of the 13 Panthers who played in the match recorded a kill. Danyelle Carr led the way with eight kills and a .412 attack percentage. 

Maggie Ivester, Katie Chancellor and Emily Arnold all recorded five kills as the Panthers set a season best .349 attack percentage.

The Panthers recorded 14 service aces, their second highest total of the season.

The Panthers host N.C. Wesleyan and William Peace on Saturday in USA South matches beginning at 10 a.m.
