Volleyball: Panthers rally past Agnes Scott

LaGrange spotted visiting Agnes Scott the first set, the rallied for a 3-1 win Wednesday evening at Richter Gym. The non-conference win improved the Panthers' record to 8-12. 

Freshman Katie Chancellor tied for match honors with Agnes Scott's Lauren Aikens with 15 kills. Hayley LaFontaine added seven kills for the Panthers. Ella Weymiller had a match-high 21 kills, while Delaney James had a match-high 25 assists.

The Scotties (4-15) took the first set 26-24, but the Panthers came back to take the next set by the same 26-24 score to even the match at 1-1.

The Panthers led by as many as six points in the early going of the second set, but the Scotties put together a run to go up 20-16. The Panthers answered by taking nine of the final 11 points in the set for a 25-22 win.

In the fourth set, the Panthers built a 19-9 lead and went on to close out the match with a 25-20 win. 

The Panthers play USA South foes Methodist and Meredith at Huntingdon College on Saturday.
