Volleyball: Panthers sweep Wesleyan at BSC/McAttack Bash

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - LaGrange swept Wesleyan 3-0 at the BSC/McAttack Bash on Saturday. The Panthers (4-4) finished 2-2 in the tournament hosted by Birmingham-Southern.

Megan Lee had eight kills to lead a balanced scoring attack for the Panthers. Hayley LaFontaine followed with six kills, then Ali Hudgins and Sydney Marshall with five each.

Avery Shead had a career-high 30 assists in the match. Lee and Ella Weymiller tied for match honors with 21 digs each. 

The Panthers lost 3-0 to tournament host and unbeaten Birmingham-Southern in their first match of the day. Katie Chancellor had six kills and Sterling Ancrum five in the match.

The Panthers play at Talladega on Thursday before facing Birmingham-Southern again on Friday in the CEB Gym at 6 p.m.
