Piedmont downed LaGrange 3-1 in a USA South match Wednesday at the CEB Gym. The loss left the Panthers 9-18 overall and 2-7 in the USA South.

Piedmont (18-10, 5-4) beat the Panthers for the third time this season. The Lions took the match by scores of 25-17, 12-25, 25-9 and 25-5.

Katie Covington had nine kills to lead the Panthers, while Hayley LaFontaine added eight. Erin McKinstry had a double-double of 26 assists and 14 digs.

Kaitlin Norman had a double-double of 17 kills and 12 digs to lead Piedmont. Paige Eslinger had a match-high 16 digs.

The Panthers travel to Greensboro, N.C. on Saturday for a USA South tri-match with Greensboro and Meredith to close out the season.
