Volleyball: Panthers split two USA South matches

LaGrange split a pair of USA South matches at the CEB Gym on Saturday. The Panthers swept Mary Baldwin 3-0 before losing 3-1 to William Peace. The Panthers are 7-15 overall and 2-4 in the conference.

The Panthers beat Mary Baldwin 25-18, 25-13 and 25-20. They lost to William Peace 25-14, 25-16, 21-25 and 27-25.

Katie Covington had 20 kills in the two matches, 11 in the loss to William Peace. She also had a double-double against the Pacers with 16 digs.

Amanda Singletary had 32 digs in the two matches. She had a match-high 21 digs against William Peace. Erin McKinstry had 53 assists in the two matches.

The Panthers play at Faulkner and at Spelman on Tuesday and Wednesday in non-conference matches.
