Women's Soccer: Greensboro tops Panthers 3-1

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Greensboro got two late goals to break a tie and went on to a 3-1 win over LaGrange on Sunday in a USA South game.

The Panthers (5-10, 2-6 USA South) trailed 1-0 at halftime. Andrea Richard tied the game for the Panthers with her team-leading fifth goal less than five minutes into the second half. Sydney Aronson assisted on the goal.

The game remained tied until the 78th minute when Allison Gibson's goal gave Greensboro (6-5-1, 4-2-1 USA South) the lead. Gibson scored an insurance goal with under two minutes left in the game for the 3-1 final.

Panther goalkeeper Courtney Slauson had 13 saves in goal for the Panthers.

The Panthers play at Maryville in a USA South game on Saturday, Oct. 18.
