Women's Soccer: Panthers,  Covenant play to scoreless draw

LaGrange and visiting Covenant played to a scoreless draw Saturday in USA South match at Panther Field. The tie left the Panthers 6-4-2 overall and 2-2-2 in conference play. 

Covenant (5-7-1, 3-2-1 USA South) had a 14-10 shot advantage in the match. The Panthers had a 5-4 shots on goal edge.

Panther goalkeeper Chelsea Totaro had four saves in the match. She stopped Drew Mountz's shot inside in the box in the first half. Totaro added two more saves in the second half and another in the first overtime period.

The Panthers four shots in the first half and three of them were on goal. Brittany Gray, Elise Hopson and Heidi Hill each had a shot on goal in the half.

The Panthers had the only two shots in the final overtime, one by Hill and another by Gray in the closing seconds. Gray's shot skimmed over the top of the goal with 15 seconds remaining.

The Panthers play at Agnes Scott on Tuesday in a non-conference match.
