Women's Soccer: Panthers, Ferrum battle to scoreless draw

LaGrange and Ferrum played to a scoreless draw in a USA South match Sunday at Panther Field. The Panthers are 6-3-1 overall and 2-1-1 in conference play.

The Panthers had a 16-11 shot advantage, including 7-5 in shots on goal. Senior goalkeeper Chelsea Totaro recorded her third shutout of the season and 17th of her career.

Both teams had scoring opportunities in the match. The Panthers had their best chances in the second half.

Andrea Richard had a shot stopped by Ferrum goalkeeper Caitlyn Deaton. Richard got the ball back and a shot go off the far post. Brittany Gray then had her shot off the rebound go high of the net. Richard and Gray had five of the Panthers' seven shots on goal.

The Panthers play at Piedmont on Wednesday in a USA South match.
