Women's Soccer: Panthers' second half goals top William Peace

LaGrange broke a second half tie and went on to a 3-1 win over visiting William Peace in a USA South match Saturday. The Panthers upped their conference record to 2-1 and 6-3 overall.

The Panthers led 1-0 at halftime. Brittany Gray scored unassisted in the 16th minute. The goal was the fifth of the season for Gray.

The Pacers (1-6-1, 0-3 USA South) tied the match 10 minutes into the second half. Mercedez Sanderson got the goal to make it 1-1.

The Panthers answered with two goals in two minutes. Katie Harrison with an assist from Sydney Dorsey put the Panthers up 2-1 in the 60th minute. Dorsey added an insurance goal off an assist from Paige Smyth for the 3-1 final.

The Panthers host Ferrum at 10 a.m. Sunday in another USA South match.
