Women's Soccer: Late goal lifts Methodist past Panthers

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Methodist got a late goal to edge LaGrange 2-1 on Saturday. The Panthers are now 8-8 overall and 1-6 in the USA South.

Methodist took a 1-0 lead midway through the first half on a goal by Kelly Wolz. The Panthers got the tying goal when Sydney Dorsey scored off an assist Brittany Gray. It was Dorsey's 13th goal of the season.

The Monarchs got the game-winner in the 79th minute. Kristin Habig scored unassisted for the 2-1 final.

The Panthers host Christopher Newport next Saturday at 1 p.m.
