Women's Soccer: Panthers bounce back with 4-1 win over Judson

Brittany Gray's second career hat trick led LaGrange past Judson 4-1 on Tuesday at Panther Field. The Panthers bounced back from a loss to Maryville to improve to 6-2.

Gray's three goals tied her with Sydney Dorsey for the team lead with 10. Dorsey scored the Panthers' other goal.

The Panthers opened the scoring in the 14th minute. Gray broke free down the middle after taking a pass from Jessie Edwards. She beat Judson goalkeeper Rachel Walker to the right side for the goal.

Fifteen minutes later, Gray scored again. She scored unassisted to up the Panthers' lead to 2-0. The Eagles cut the lead in half before halftime as Kacey Chance's goal in the 41st minute made it 2-1.

The Panthers added to their lead three minutes into the second half. Mendi Kallam sent a free kick in and Dorsey cleaned up in front of the goal to make it 3-1.

Gray closed out the scoring with six minutes left. She beat Walker with a volley from 30 yards out after taking a pass from Dorsey for the 4-1 final margin.

The Panthers outshot the Eagles 18-3 in the game, scoring on four of the six shots on goal they had. Courtney Slauson had a save in goal in her second start of the season.

The Panthers play at Meredith on Saturday and at Peace on Sunday in USA South games.
