Women's Soccer: Panthers shut down Oakwood

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - LaGrange bounced back from its first loss with a 5-0 win at Oakwood on Tuesday. The Panthers improved to 4-1 with the win.

Junior Brittany Gray paced the Panthers with two goals. She opened the scoring on a penalty kick in the fourth minute of the game. Gray got her second goal in the 20th minute on an assist from Andrea Richard.

Mendi Kallam and Sydney Dorsey also had first half goals as the Panthers led 4-0. Dorsey's goal was her team-leading seventh and came on an assist from Jade Cotton.

Richard closed out the scoring with her first collegiate goal in the 67th minute. Trayton Carson-Tanner assisted on the goal.

Chelsea Totaro needed to make only one for her third shutout of the season. It was the team's fourth in five games this season.

The Panthers had 27 shots in the game, 12 on goal.

The Panthers host Oglethorpe on Thursday, then play at Maryville on Saturday in their USA South opener.
