Panthers edge Huntingdon to even record

The Panthers got the first goal of the game 21 minutes into the first half. Akina Omae scored her fourth goal of the season for a 1-0 lead. Omae scored off a corner kick from Jillian Matthews with a header that beat goalkeeper Jenny Burnash.

Huntingdon answered the Panthers' goal five minutes later. Courtney Fredenburg's second goal of the season tied the game at 1-1.

The Panthers got the game-winner in the 73rd minute in the second half. Omae lofted a ball that Deese headed under the top crossbar from in front of the goal to make it 2-1.

Huntingdon had a slight 12-11 shots advantage in the game. Panther goalkeeper Laura Webber had five saves in the game.

The Panthers host Atlanta Christian on Thursday at 7 p.m.
