Lacrosse: Panthers fall to Greensboro in first USA South game

Greensboro overcame an early LaGrange lead for an 18-6 USA South win Saturday at Panther Field. The loss evened the Panthers' record at 3-3 and was their first conference game of the season.

LaGrange jumped out to an early 4-1 over the Pride (4-5, 1-2 USA South). Eva Tallent scored the first of her three goals just 15 seconds into the game for a quick 1-0 lead. Tallent's second goal gave the Panthers their three goal lead with 18 minutes left in the first half.

Greensboro answered with seven straight goals to take the lead for good. Rachael Thomas' goal cut the deficit to 8-5. The Pride took an 11-5 lead into halftime. Tallent's final goal of the game accounted for LC's scoring in the second half. Madeline LaCavera and Davida White each had a goal for the Panthers.

The Panthers host Ferrum in a USA South game on Sunday at 12 p.m.
