ATLANTA, Ga. - LaGrange ended its 2015 season with a 13-10 win over Oglethorpe on Monday.
Alexis Dillard led the Panthers (2-13) with a season-high six goals. Dillard led the team for the season with 31 goals and eight assists.
Oglethorpe led 7-5 at halftime. The Panthers fell behind 3-1 in the first six minutes of the game. Dillard scored her first two goals to tie the score and Garmany's first goal put the Panthers up 4-3.
Dillard's third goal of the half gave the Panthers a 5-4 lead. But the Stormy Petrels closed out the period with three straight goals to take a two-goal lead at the half.
Oglethorpe got the first goal of the second half to up its lead to 8-5.
The Panthers responded with five goals over a 13-minute span. Dillard tied the game with back-to-back goals, then St. Germain and Garmany scored for a 10-8 lead.
The Stormy Petrels tied the game 10-10 with two quick goals, the second coming with 12:13 left in the game.
Dillard broke the tie with just over 10 minutes remaining and closed out her scoring with her final goal at the five-minute mark for a 12-10 lead. Davis added an insurance goal with 1:21 scoring off an assist from Caroline Murphy for the 13-10 final.
